Dr. Eva Petersson Brooks, Associate Professor, Head of the section of Architecture and Media Technology and teaches Medialogy at Aalborg University Esbjerg. Her research interest has always been attached to cross-disciplinary projects and she is interested in questions related to the potentials of toys and games (defined in a broad sense) to reshape learning, teaching, therapy, and rehabilitation and how to design, build and evaluate systems, processes and interfaces that enhance these relationships. Her current research projects involve how gameplay mediate identity, engagement and playfulness in learning and rehabilitation situations and how the participants learn and develop in situations where the perception is not focused on learning, but rather on person-centred activities tailored to maximise immersion of individuals and groups.
