Entry requirements
Enrolment as an international full-time degree student in a complete undergraduate programme at Aalborg University is not different from enrolment as a Danish student. All students must meet the same entry requirements:
1) General entry requirements:
You must have completed an upper secondary school exam that can be compared to a Danish upper secondary school exam. Further information is available at the Danish Agency for International Education
2) Specific entry requirements:
Like applicants with Danish qualifications, you must meet the specific entry requirements stipulated by each study programme. Specific requirements may include the level of the subjects, marks and overall average of marks. For further information on the specific requirements please click the relevant programme below.
3) Danish proficiency:
For undergraduate programmes taught in Danish, you must be able to document sufficient oral and written proficiency in Danish. You must have passed the Study Test in Danish as a Second Language (‘Studieprøven’) or equivalent tests.
Exception:
Students from the Nordic countries are not required to pass a Danish test to be enrolled in programmes where Danish, Norwegian or Swedish is part of the entry qualification.
Programmes offered entirely in English do not have any Danish proficiency requirements.
Students applying for both bachelor and master programme need to take an English test – either an IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge ESOL test. The test has to be less than two years old, otherwise we cannot accept it. You do not have to submit an English test if one of the following criteria applies to you.:
*The test has to be send directly from the test center.
** Original or verified copy of original.
